Meador information - D J Peirce

Don,
I found them listed under Meadors name, and to be truthful, I just started
with the first two reels and went from there. If you find something you
want to keep on hand, renew it twice and it stays at your FHC. I have two
or three reels that stayed, because I knew I'd keep going back to
them....even though I had printed dozens of pages on the copyier/viewer.
I had corresponded with K.R. back in the 70s, when I still lived in the
Houston area, and she was a big help to me in the Meador research....I only
wish she had saved her replies to the letters she has in her papers!!
If I'm not mistaken -- I'm not looking at the file just now -- she is from
the Jason Meador/Sallie Moberley line.
My line,Job Meador/Elizabeth Moberley,
are brother and sister....this is the generation where 5 Meadors [4 sons, 1
dau] married 5 Moberleys...and it is not terribly easy to keep them
straight.
I think the Jason line eventually went to TN/KY, but will have to look that
up. Victor Meador's book is detailed on this line, and is on microfiche at
FHC....once you order the fiche it stays there.
There were some other lines who went to TN/KY from VA, I suppose they were
cousins of Jonas [who was Jason&Job's
father], or maybe even brothers...I know that Jonas' family left VA & ended
up in SC eventually...Fairfield County.
I'm not sure if all his children went with him or if they were old enough to
chose their own destination...I just don't remember without the file in my
face!
If I can help you with it at all, I will be glad to do so...let me know...I
have a lot of data on several if these Meadors brothers.
