I am looking and have been for a number of years where John L. Massey and
wife Mary were before they moved to Monroe Co. Miss. about 1838. He was born
in North CArolina in 1782 and she in North Carolina in 1792.  They moved to
South Carolina and had their children at least Lott b. 1819, Henry, John,
Issac, Nancy, maybe others.    There was a John L. in Chesterfield Co. in 1820
but not in 1830 and we can't find them anywhere else.  Judge Massey has him as
a child of Alston Massey of Chesterfield, but can't be sure.  Thanks for any
