Julianna,
To add to your information on Martintown.... Martintown Rd still exists in an area south of Greenwood, SC which was in the Old
96 Dist. It crisscrosses Hwy
178 near Epworth, SC (had a post office at the turn of the century....not so now)
a couple of times and most of it is still dirt and was never paved. New Hwy 178
took it's place in that area. I am not sure how much continues to show as it goes
away from hwy 178 on toward hwy 25. My husband and I are history buffs of sorts
and just traveled some of that road recently while we were in the neighborhood
where he grew up.
