To all with Colleton County Rigdon Martin roots:

There is a [Colleton County] Rigdon Martin Family reunion each year just
a few miles west of Walterboro in the Doctors Creek baptist Church
located on State Hwy S-15 51 just off US 64.
This year the meeting will be the second Saturday in October on the 9th
From 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Dinner will be served on the grounds. Those
living near generally take a covered dish or two. Folks who travel a
distance stop at a chicken or fish restaurant and pick up a bucket of
one or the other. Eating utensils, cups, drinks and ice are provided.
Fat people like me are warned away from pecan pies, German chocolate
cake and home candy--to no avail! Come, bring your data and questions.
Several members have extensive records. Others just come for the fun,
fellowship and food. A program and a photo-taking session [including
video] are always a part of the gathering.
