Martin Community, Lugoff, SC; where is it? - Gkinard

I was reading a 1941 obituary this morning and it said the deceased ws for 
many years a resident of the Martin community near Lugoff (SC).

I know where Lugoff is, but would like to know where the Maritn community 
was. Can someone please tell me where this was?
