I have a great great grandfather by the name of E. C. MARTIN that in the
1860 census shows that his father was born in S. C. I do not know
where.  E.C. was born about 1830 S.C.? and first married Martha ? about
1860 in Winnfield, Winn, LA. They moved to Arkansas about 1870 and
Martha died? about 1873. He was found in the 1880 census with his 6
children (5 girls, 1 boy) in Grayson, Co., Texas. He later moved to Red
River Co., Texas where his daughter Mary Alice MARTIN  meet my great
grandfather Yancy King David HALL. They married in Annona, Red River,
Co., Texas 1882. As you can see I know nothing about where they lived in
S. C. and who E. C.'s father might be. If anyone see a connection to
this family PLEASE contact me.  This is my brick wall, I cannot get them
out of S.C. Hope to hear SOON.
