Does anyone out there know of any Low/Lowe's or Hammett's in the 
Spartanburg area?  I'm looking for the father or brothers of Abner Lowe 
who was born around 1831 in SC.  He is listed in the 1860 census in the 
household of W.D. Chapman, along with his wife Vicey, and three sons -- 
William, Alberry, and George.  Abner died in the Civil War in a Union 
Prison Camp, Fort Delaware.  

I'm also looking for information on parents of George Marion Hammett 
From Spartanburg.  Any information on either of these two families would 
be greatly appreciated!
