Heidi and Jeanne,
I'm in the same boat trying to find John T. Lord and Margaret Leachman and
their children who were from this area.Major W. Lord aka M.W. Lord needs a
birth certificate
I have four maps that I have gathered on this area that I will send if you
wish.. I hope some one of our friends the various counties would take a
minute or two to see if they could help solve the mystery of birth dates
of John T, Margaret, M>W> and siblings. God Bless Walter Lord

Heidi, I just wrote you on Ponds. I read the e-mail where you said
Colleton
>was one of the counties that had no records. I read in the library in
>Charlston and at the archives in Columbia that Sherman came through
>Charleston in the Civil War and destroyed court houses. He wiped them out
>and Colleton was one of the counties formed from Charlston. So, thanks
>anyways.
