Subject: LOOKUPS - SC census 1790: Lowndes, Brownfield, Starling, Brabham, Duncan, Kearse From: Douglas/Ungaro Date: June 21, 2000 Hi Ruth, I hope you're feeling fine! Can you let me know if you have any Lowndes, Brownfield, Starling, Brabham, Duncan and/or Kearse in that census? Especially slaveholders. Later than 1790 - in the mid to late 1800s, I have Caesar Duncan Lowndes from the Charleston area and the islands; he married Elizabeth Brownfield Lowndes. I'd like to find more on her family. Also George Richard Brabham around what is now Bamberg. These ancestors of mine are African American and mixed race. I don't know much about SC county geography in 1790.
