I have ready access to a great little book called: "State Census of North Carolina 1784-1787", second edition revised by Mrs. Alvaretta Kenan Register from the Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., dated 1983. It is fully indexed and covers the entire state. I will try to do lookups for those who have specific names and think/know that they were there during that period.
