Subject: Re: Libraries in 96th District From: Elizabeth Hemingway Date: March 24, 1999 I don't know of any other libraries, but my search is also in these areas. I guess you know that McCormick, SC was split between Edgefield, Greenwood, and Abbeville counties? I live close enough that I went to McCormick yesterday and I was so disappointed. It is a quaint, quiet little town, the people are very friendly; but they have absolutely NO information there anymore. Everything has been sent to USC Archives, or everywhere else. If you come back this way, they have very little there. I looked ALL over the place. I could not even find out who was buried in my relatives plot. (There is only one marker) No one knows anything! I hope you have better luck than I did if your search stretches to parts of McCormick. Beth Crawford - Judith wrote: I just visited this area for the first time.
