Anna,
I saw your post and checked my Kershaw County portions of the early
Federal Censuses to see if there were any Langley's in the area.  Two
families of them show on the 1800 and 1810 Censuses, but are gone by
1820.  Don't know if it will do you any good or not, but this is what
shows:

1800:
William Langely 2/1/0/1/0//3/1/0/1/0
John Langley    3/0/0/1/0//0/2/1/0/0

1810:
Sarah Langley   1/0/0/0/0//1/0/0/1/0
William Langley 2/1/1/0/1//0/0/2/0/1
