Hello again. I am planning a trip to Laurens with the following objective.

I found on a map in the Laurens library the location of the land that some
families are living on. This is an old map and it has no coordinates, plat
numbers, etc. I would like to find the records for the sales or transfers
of these land sections with the objective of finding the names of the
purchasers. I'm interested in the period 1790-1840.

Can anyone offer a suggestion of how to do this? Which records to use? 

Are there any published resources showing how the revolutionary war land
grants were broken up?
