Is anyone searching or have info on the KNOX family of
Columbia (perhaps Sumter), and Charleston, SC?

I have Louis C KNOX b. est. 1860s. Living in Columbia in
1895 re: Chas. Orphan House Records of his children:

Isabella, Herbert, Eliza, George, and Theresa.

He was married to Martha Louisa SHOKES.

I have found info on KNOX, John Johnson, of plantation on
Black River (?) (name unknown). Born Mar. 14, 1809 SC;
married Oct. 23, 1833, Sarah Ann Witherspoon (Nov. 20,
1812-Nov. 4, 1869); died Dec. 5, 1895. Church: Presbyterian
(Elder, Sumterville). Slaves: 109 (Sumter Dist.).
