Terry,

See if any of these names ring a bell with your files or your aunts memory.

Annie Massey was born on Mar 20 1822 (d 1893),near Barkers Creek Church
(next to Honea Path)Anderson Co,to Laban and Esther Dowdle Massey. She
married John M. McCoy, born Anderson, died 1845. He is buried at the McCoy
burying grounds near Neals Creek Church, here in Anderson.

They had 3 children:
Martha L. Mar 3, 1839-Oct 14 1902 m. John Johnson from Abbeville
Margaret J. Mar 3 1840-Dec 26 1902 m. Alfred J. Mann
Nancy E. m W. Stauder Kay (both buried at Neals Creek Baptist)

After John died, Annie married his first cousin, Ephraim V. McCoy. Ephraim
died in the service of the Confederacy on the night Columbia was burned by
General Sherman's men. He was in the hospital there for treatment or
something. They think death was brought on by the excitement of the fire. He
is buried somewhere near Columbia. They had seven children:

Frances S. McCoy (b.1848) m W.E. McConnell(d 1904)both buried at Midway
Baptist

R. Hasseltine McCoy (1850-1927) m Ebenezer McConnell
(both buried at Old Silver Brook Cem)

A. Rebecca McCoy (1852-1917) m Henry Clark (both buried at Sandy Springs)

Mary Etta (Molly)McCoy (1855-1918) m Wm. Claude Hale then John A Bolt
(John & Molly buried at New Prospect)

Ida M McCoy(b 1858) m Andrew McCoy (b 1852)

Ephraim V. McCoy Jr (1865-?) m Eliza Lou Bolt then Corrie Allona Caudell

one child died in infancy

I have the children of most of the families above. They cover Mann,
Vanadore,
Cobb, Ducworth, Kay, Bolt, Calvert, and Morgan.

Have been up since 6:00 Sunday Morning, I'm going nighty night,
Talk later,
Cindy
