*note:  I found that many Revolutionary War Soldiers were in
the BAHAMAS and returned to the US (east coast, GA, VA, and
the Carolinas) in the late 1700's.

NEW INFO:

I have been sent info on the following (some of this info is
undocumented by myself) :

Mary ROBERT b. 8 may 1754 in Robertsville, SC; m.
abt. 1789 to William GREEN; d. 24 Mar 1812 Daufuskie Island,
Beaufort, SC.

My line continues with their dau. Mary GREEN b. 24 Mar 1792
Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas; married Thomas ELLIS.

Their children were Sarah Ann b. 1828 and Joseph Samuel
ELLIS b. 1812.

You may want to check the BAHAMAS/CARRIBEAN for the ROBERTS
family. I think they moved there and then back again to the
Beaufort/Charleston area. I think they owned land in both
places.
