KING families, CHARLESTON, SC, 1782 -1829 - Mary Jacques
Subject: KING families, CHARLESTON, SC, 1782 -1829
From: Mary Jacques

Recently, on a research trip to Charleston, SC, I found Charleston City
Directories for 1782-1829 and years after these dates. I copied KING pages
from the 1782-1829 Charleston City Directories, hoping for a lead to a
possible KING family. I'm searching for Miss Mary E. PIERCE who married
Peter Isaac GUERRY in 1840. Miss Mary E. PIERCE was born about 1812,
possibly around SC; Census information says born in SC; d.
1887). I am looking for the ancestors of Miss Mary PIERCE. From naming
patterns within the PIERCE-GUERRY family, I have an intuitive hunch one of
Miss Mary E. PIERCE's ancestors possibly could be a KING, since a son of
Mary E. PIERCE and Peter Isaac GUERRY carried the given names of George
 King.

I am posting this to SCROOTS-L, hoping someone will find a previously
unfound KING ancestor among these KINGs in Charleston, SC. I hope this
posting helps Carol C-H who stimulated this posting with a search for
KING?WOOD g2gparents (see snippet of posting below this list of Charleston,
 SC KINGs).
