Good Evening:
                  Does anyone recognize this family?  Where were they from
in TN? I have a James b. 1803 in TN and his father John, b. NC in 1784.
They were in MO by 1819 and IA by 1839. James daughter Susan (Ashcraft) was
in WA by 1882! They moved fast and left few traces. Any help/clues
appreciated. Will be happy to share files.

Ransom and Rachel (Heflin) Kimbrel were listed in the 1870, Shelby Co., AL,
census on p. 3, house # 22.  They had Mary Glover, widow of Benjamin,
living in the house with them.
Their daughter, MISSOURI ALICE KIMBREL,......... 

THOMAS KIMBREL: b. 1814, TN; m. Ruth _____, b. 1826, AL.  1860, Bibb Co.,
AL, West of Cahaba, census:  houshold # 248, p. 39.  Children listed:
Minerva, b. 1847; John H., b. 1844; and William, b. 1847.  Also in the
household was Susan Kimbrel, age 80, b. SC.  Next door at # 249 were:
       RANSOM KIMBREL -- age 36, b. SC.
       Marcilla -- age 26, b. TN, his wife.
       Charles -- age 3, b. GA.
       William -- age 11, b. AL
In 1850, this Ransom Kimbrel had been living in the household of John
Kimbrel, b. 1805, TN, in Shelby Co., near Berryman Kimbrel, b. 1803, TN. 
Thomas, John, and Berryman are thought to have been brothers.

Mary Pleasant Evaline HENDERSON, b. abt 1853, Shelby Co., AL, & d. abt
1930.  She m. CHARLES KIMBRELL, b. 1841, Shelby Co., AL, (son of Benjamin
Kimbrell, b. 1804, TN; who was the son of Benjamin Kimbrell, b. 1760, TN.).
 Charles Kimbrell's mother was Pheriby Vining, b. 1808, GA, and dau. Of
John Vining, b. 1784, GA.
