Subject: KERSHAW family From: Rwhughes Pi65 Date: March 29, 1998 I am trying to locate anyone who is well-versed on the Kershaw family. They were, in great part, responsible for the settling and growth of the area which would become Camden, and the county would later be named for the family. A member of the family married into my family of WEST, who were responsible for the creation of Westville in Kershaw County. To date, I have hit nothing but brick walls with this lady. She was born about 1770 to parents unknown, and she died about 1851 in Camden. She was married sometine before 1790 to Samuel West, b. @1759 in Lynchburg, VA and d. about 1824 in Westville. We know of at least 8 children. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
