Subject: RE: KELSO in South Carolina From: Susan Wilson Date: August 05, 1998 Gail, Isabella KELSO immigrated from Ireland to Chester Co SC as a child in 1768, arriving with her parents aboard the Earl of Donegal, one of the ships of Rev. William Martin. During the Revolutionary War, she tended prisoner of the British, William WYLIE, and they fell in love. They were married after his release, and removed with their children to Alabama. This line is well documented and much research has led to many books on the KELSO family. I have some information, but suggest you check the queries at the Chester County SCGenWeb site (URL in my sig) -- I know there are KELSO queries there. Please post either a new query or a reply to the board as well as contacting the original poster, since lots of folks would be interested in your data. (In case you're curious, I'm a WYLIE, though not a descendant of William, but of his brother John.)
