As far as I know, the K of P stands for "Knights of Pythias"
 an organization to benefit society.  I don't know that much about it, but 
have seen articles in old newspapers regarding meetings scheduled for the 
local members.  It might be like Shriners today.......  Perhaps someone on 
the list could tell us more.
