Being sick of Body but of good and perfect memory Thanks be to Almighty god calling to mind the uncertain State of this Transitory life that all Flesh must yield to Death when it Shall please god to call I do make Constitute ordain Declare this my last will and Testament in manner and Form Following Revoking and disannulling by these presents all and Every Testament and Testaments will and wills heretofore by me made and declared Either by word or writing And this is only to be taken For my last will and Testament and none other - - - And First Being penitent and Sorry From the Bottom of my Hart For my Sins past --- Most humbly desireing Forgiveness for the Same I give and Commit my Soul to almighty god my Saviour and to have Full Remissions of all my Sins and that my Soul with Body at the Jeneral Resurrection Shall rise again with Joy and through the merits of christs Death and --- Suffering possess and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven prepared For his Elect and chosen and my Body To be Buried in Such a place as it shall please my Executors hereafter named to appoint - and now for The Setling of my Temporal Estate & such goods chattels Debts as hath pleased god far above my Derserts to bestow upon me I do order give & dispose off in manner following First I will all those debts and Dues which I owe to any manner of person or persons whatever Shall be well truly paid by my Executors hereafter named Item I give & bequeath to my Eldest son Roberson Coker the Plantation & Tract of Land he is now living on containing three hundred acres more or less being part of a tract of six hundred acres Beginning at the west side of sd tract at a gum corner in a Branch Runing From Sd Branch across to a small Drean or Branch down sd Drean to Mr Evenses line along sd line to newmans Branch continueing lines made out round to the Begining Corner the other part of land to be Divided Between my loving wife & youngest son Clark Coker to my loving wife I give and Bequeath the dwelling where I now dwell a part of the plantation to be Reserved for My son Clark that is a field on the Swamp under fence to it self I & acre Round his house (? to?) The Balance of My Plantation with Rail timber & Fire wood sufficient for the use wife of the Plantation I give to my loving ^ Dureing her life at her Deceased to Return to my son Clark I give to my son Clark a tract of land Begining at the affoursaid gum corner & down The affoursaid Drean to Evenses line then to my lower line & across to the middle of puddg swamp up sd swamp & Round to the gum corner Being three hundred acres more or less two cows & yearlings & Five sows and twenty six Pigs I Desire to be sold to pay my creditors a negro woman Silvia I give to my wife her life then to live with Either of my sons or where she is a mind at the death of her mistress if she is living a mare & colt to the use of my wife her or theyr life then the colt to Return to Clark my son the colt the mare is in fole with to my son Roberson when folded the Balance of my stock household & kitchen furniture plantation tooles for the use of my loving wife her life then to be devided between my two sons if they cant agree and divid then to be sold and the money Equally divided with them [-"on bed & furniture"- struck out] I give to my grand son Joshua Coker a Featherbed & Furniture at the death of his grand mother if he dies before she does the bed to Returnd to the Estate a shot gun I wish sold to pay my Debts when the cattle & hogs is sold a Flock of geese I give & bequeath to my wife at her death to Return to my son Clark Coker - - - I Constitute ordain and appoint my wife Executrix and my Son Roberson & Clark Coker my Executors of this my last will and testament - - - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of April one thousand Eight hundred and thirteen signed seald published pronounced and declared by the Said } Joshua Coker as his last will & testament in the presents of us who in his } presents & in the presents of Each other have hereunto subscribed our names } his Joshua + Coker {seal} mark Stephen Floyd Daniel Passer her Silviah X Coker mark Certified True Copy of Original Filed in this Office G (Allen or Ellen?)
