Hello	I am interested in ancestors of Joseph Whitner Young
I have this information-Joseph Whitner Young b.25 June 1849 d. 22 Nov
1932 m. Emaline Banks b. 25 Dec 1848 d. 5 Oct 1892 m. 1 Feb 1870. They
were from Pickens County. Thirteen children. Moved to Texas around
1880.   

Joseph's mother-Sarah Young Connelly/Conley-was unmarried at his birth
and was given his mother's maiden name. His father was reported to be
James Mosely.  Sarah married James Connelly and they had 3 children.   
Sarah Young b.ca 1829 her parents were Stephen and Rebecca Young.

Stephen Young b.ca 1785 d. 1829 (two months before Sarah born).
Rebecca Porter Young b.ca 1789 d. ca 1886. children 12. She married
Enoch Chapman after Stepen's death-no children. It is believed that
Rebecca was previously married to a Porter and she had a son named
Gibson Porter. Her maiden name is unknown.

Stephen's parents were Levi and Nancy Marchbanks Young.
Levi b. ca 22 August 1758 in Rocksbury? Township, Morris Co.,NJ d.3 Feb,
1838.
Nancy Marchbanks b. ca 28 Jan 17XX in Union Dist.,SC d.? They were
married near the Pocolet River in Union District in 1782 and later moved
to Pickens. 8 children.  
Levi Young served in the American Revolution and Nancy received a
pension-Pension claim W.9040.

Any futher information on any of the above mentioned will be greatly
appreciated.  Especially, on Rebecca Porter Young.  I have found it
interesting that J.W. Young's middle name is Whitner.  There were
Whitner's in Picken's but I have been unable to make the connection, as
yet.
