Joseph Lord who came out with the colony From New England. He was of Charleston Mass; born June 30, 1672; graduated at Harvard College in 1691, adn was teaching school in Dorchestore, and studying Theology under Rev. John Danforth, at the time of his ordination, October 22, 1695. He remained with his people, as pastor over twenty years, after which he returned to Massachuestts, and on 15 June 1720 he was installed pastor of the church in Chatham, where he died June 6, 1748 after preaching to that people 28 years."
