Does anyone have any info re Joseph Henry Villeneuve, b 1834 Charleston? In
1850 he is listed in St James Parish, Goose Creek, Mt Holly Post Office. He
is listed as a stonemason. In his household are his wife Sarah Jane White
(age 21,b Sumter Co), his mother in law Mrs. K White (41), and several
children. He next appears in Kershaw Co. Apparently he fought in the Civil
War and is on the Civil War Monument there. He did not die in the war, but
became ill during the war and died of pneumonia at the age of 34. According
to his obit, he left a wife and 6 children. Sarah went to Sumter and lived
on Main St. After that she moved to GA. Joseph had a sister named Harriet
Elizabeth. I would love to document their parents. Any ideas?
