I have been trying to make an earlier connection to this family suspecting their origins are from NC. As many of you know, the spelling changes from the original line vary greatly. Here is what we have so far and any help on this line would be apppreciated greatly! I am sure there are many correction to this, but this is what we have gleaned only this so far. CALVIN JONIKIN b. 1825 SC-no death date marrys Susan ? approx. 1846 in SC They lived in the area prior to our later Charles, but we haven't established a direct contection. This was derived from census information of that time. Next Generation: Charles A. b. Oct. 10, 1847, Edgefield Co., SC Caroline b. 1855 Ready b. 1859 Idonia b. 1859 Next Generation: Charles A. b. Oct. 10, 1847, Edgefield Co., SC married Jane V. Johnson in Edgefield Co., SC, 1869 Florence Emma b. Nov. 7, 1872 ( my greatgrand mother) Marnie b. Feb. 3, 1874 Mary A. b. 1877 John b. Oct. 11,1881 Florence Emma married John Calvin Temples Feb. 12, 1890, Sauda Co. SC From all accounts, Florence was a slight women with fiery red hair. I have been told that a temper went with that. For some time after the death of her father she and John lived with a sister in their fathers house in Batesburg, SC, and after a family refit, the sister kicked them out of the house.
