Bonnie,  I am curious about your question regarding phrases ". . ., she did;
. . . ,we did; . . . , it was".  You are talking about the speech pattern of
my mother, Lillian Russell JONES, (daughter of Clarence E. JONES and Mae
RUSSELL, born 1913 in Lake City, SC, grew up in Tampa, FL ).  I have never
heard anyone else with this speech pattern.   So, I always assumed the
pattern was peculiar to her.  I'm delighted if this speech pattern may have
some regional, and thus some genealogical, significance.

Perhaps this will help me find some of my JONES and RUSSELL ancestors and
cousins.
