Winnsboro, S. C., April 26 --
(AP) - Dr. Oliver Johnson, 81,
Winnsboro's oldest clergyman, died
early today.  He was pastor emer-
itus of Bethel Associate Reformed
Presbyterian church.
   Dr. Johnson, a native of Abbe-
ville county, was graduated from
Erskine college in 1888 and taught
school in Chester county until 
1891.  Then he entered Princeton
Seminary, and was graduated in
1894.  His first pastorate was at
Neely's Creek church in York
county.  He moved to Winnsboro
half a century ago.  He retired
in 1946.
   Church officers will be pallbear-
ers at the funeral tomorrow after-
noon.
