Subject: JOHN THOMPSON, PETER ROBERTSON, 1732-33 From: Elizabeth Russo Date: April 28, 2000 From the SC Gazette, January 6, 1732-33: "RUN AWAY from Mr. JOHN THOMPSON, Jun. a white servant man, named PETER ROBERTSON, on Decemb. 5 past, he's a short fellow, with short brown hair, somewhat pockfretten: He had on when he went away, a narrow brim'd hat, a light colour'd pea jacket of kersey cloth, a pair of ozenbrig trowsers, and a pair of white negro cloth Breeches, he's bandy leg'd, and commonly walketh stooping, and pretendeth to be somewhat of a cooper. Whoever secureth the said servant, so as he be had again, shall receive 10 L reward from his Master. JOHN THOMPSON, jun."
