Once again I am looking for my John Shannon who died in Fairfield County, 1800. The administrators of the estate, Creighton Buchanan,Samuel Clark, Edward Martin, Simon Cameron, David Patton, Ropbert Stitt, show a charge of travel to and from Abbeville to obtain titles to land obtained by the deceased from Samuel Huston and a 100 acres from Danel Cocran. Both tracts located on Dumper's Creek, East Fork of Little River. Expenses included Mary Reid was paid for nursing child Mary. Cash ws paid to Wm Adger, Wm Porter, ?Blackmore, a dancing teacher. Goerge Robertson, Samuel Weldin, for books, paper, tuition, and schooling. (Charges were between 1800-1806) In 1816, charges were paid to Joseph Phillips to cover tuition and board for Charles Shannon for a period of 2 years and 9 months. Does anyone know where these teachers were?
