His mother is Lucy McNeal who married Michael Walden (Walling) in 1807. Brother is Henry McNeal. There is potentially another brother named James. I'm guessing John's father's name was James, but I have nothing to prove it.

John McNeal b SC? abt 1795 moved to Hall Co GA 1821, Blount Co AL 1853
died 1883 in Blount Co Al. Looking for anything to connect to his
lineage. No. 1 wife's name unknown but believe he was married in SC abt
1818. Investigation shows he was Missionary Baptist is all that is know
about his background.
