I have hit a brick wall with John Cantzon Bell.  I know that he was b.
1801 in Chester Co. SC, m. to Mary Sarah Lyles abt 1829 in SC, and
migrated to Pickens Co. AL in early 1830s (Mary Sarah died before they
reached AL).  The SC census records list at least two Chester Co. SC
families of 1810 that could have included John Cantzon Bell.

I believe that he was named for a famous SC physician of the time, Dr.
John Cantzon.  However, I can find no family connection between the
Cantzons and any Bells.

Can anyone suggest which direction I should now take to persue this
search for his parents?  Any help, however insignificant, would be
greatly appreciated.
