I am not having much luck with my great grandfather, Frances Haynes ALLEY, so 
I shall look for his brother(?) John B. P. ALLEY. John was born in Gibraltar 
south of Spain in 1813. They (he and his brother Frances) landed in 
Charleston, SC on November 14, 1817.

John applied for citizenship in1836 in Charleston, SC. He was a cabinet maker 
and later in life moved to Greenville County, SC. His wife was named Adeline 
C. I feel sure that he had more than one wife but have no proof or names. His 
children were Raymond ALLEY born 1834 A. K. ALLEY born 1844 Edgar H. ALLEY 
born 1847 Emma Julia ALLEY born 1850 John B. P. ALLEYJr., 1855 and Lizzie 
ALLEY born 1861. I believe that all of these offspring were born in South 
Carolina. 

I am especially interested in who the parents were of John B. P. ALLEY. Any 
other information would be helpful also.
