John and Mary Chappell

   Family tradition is that my earliest Chappell was John Thomas, born
circa 1760, who
had a son John Thomas, born circa 1790 in Edgefield County, S.C..
Senior's wife's given name may have been Mary, Penelope or Freddy; her
family name, Burkhalter, Kirkland or Lykes. Junior's wife's name was
Mary; family name, one of the above or I believe Morriss. Senior
apparently died in S.C.
  Junior went by name of Thomas. Prior to 1829 he moved to Fayette
County, GA. Then
to Talladega County, Al. prior to 1836, where he died before 1850
census. About 1859
Mary and most of family(s) moved moved to what is now Lincoln Parish,
La. Jeremiah
and James stayed in Al
     Children of Thomas and Mary: Nancy, Mrs Henry Ward,.b. 1819;
Jeremiah, m.
Elizabeth ?, b. 1822; Martha, b.1824; James b. circa 1826; (all b.in
Edgefield Co.) Mary Matilda, Mrs. Samuel Fulmer, b.1829; Jane, Mrs.
Larance (Levi?) Fulmer, b.1832;
Elizabeth Emily, Mrs. Isaac Runyan, b. 1834; (all b. in Fayette, Co);
Sarah Harriet
(Hallie?), Mrs William Stocks, b. 1836; William, m. Muldah(?), b. 1838;
(both b.
Talladega Co.)
     Can anyone help me prove that John Thomas was Thomas' father and
who their wives
were? Of course, I wouldn't mind knowing who their ancestors were!
     Thanks:  Rusty Richardson
