I may be the person to whom you're writing.

I have a possible, unverified match with Mrs. Caroline JAQUES, widow of
Thomas. Off-hand, I don't recognize either HART or BOWICK.

I also have located Mrs. Caroline JAQUES at 14 Bogard Street in the 1888
Charleston City Directory.  What I did not have is this list of residents at
the same address.  Did you find this list in a cross-directory?  Or, is the
list a compilation of names you've gathered and, over-time, discovered they
share the same address?

Sounds like 14 Bogard Street may have been a boarding house?  Do you have
any clues?  Do you know what is at 14 Bogard Street today?

I'll be in Charleston toward the end of April with the Huguenot Reunion
group (HIGHs).  During the week, I hope to do more family research and prowl
around the area again.
