I have SC Mitchell's but I did not see them.  However, they did migrate from 
NC and many of them were in Buncombe Co., NC.  Also, Abbeville/Anderson area 
is were they were mostly located.

I am trying to find out more information about this Mitchell family.
Does anyone know this family?

Listed on the 1850 Monroe county MS census is: 

 James Mitchell, age 24, blacksmith, born South Carolina,
wife Eliza F. Mitchell, age 18, born North Carolina.

James brother is believed to be George Mitchell and mother Mary? born Georgia.

James Mitchell, b: 12/20/1824 in South Carolina
 d: 12/09/1898, Bowie County, TX. 


Eliza Bush, b: 1832, NC, d: abt. 1857, MS, 
Monroe County.
