Subject: JAMES families around 1800 From: Donali Howell Date: July 05, 2000 Looking for information on the following JAMES families: George JAMES (~1763-1847) m. Jane GOURLEY (~1777-1860); lived in Darlington District. Have some information on descendents, none on ancestors. Samuel Winter JAMES was in Williamsburg District around 1800-1810, died abt. 1826 in Mississippi. May have married a Margaret - don't know her last name. William JAMES (1701-1750) and Elizabeth WITHERSPOON's (1703-1750) children included "Major John JAMES of Indiantown and Samuel JAMES of Pee Dee". William and Elizabeth JAMES settled in Williamsburg Co. in 1732. Any information on Samuel JAMES of PeeDee would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to share what information I have.
