Some Ole South Carolinians, 1808.

While visiting a French Gen. site I found a listing for
CHOQUET/JACQUET. At another site I found info on a
CHOQUETTE/CHOQUET that changed his name to SHOKE. Since my
SHOKES lived in St James Santee Parish I'm wondering if this
is the lost connection, and if my SHOKES traveled with the
German-Swiss, or the Huguenots.

I think I also saw JACQUETs in the Colleton Co. area where
some of my other family members lived.

Pleeeeeeease, someone open my blurry cross-eyed non-french
reading eyes.
