which may be related but can get no farther back.  One family is:

Gabriel Jackson, b. abt. 1824, place unknown, on the 1840 census in St.
James Santee Parish (Charleston Co.), SC, m. abt. 1847, Rebecca Brinson,
d/o Mathew Brinson and Unknown.  m. 2nd abt. 1879 Laura M. Meeks, d/o
Nelson? and Mary Elizabeth Meeks.  Gabriel d. 6/16/1892 in Christ Church
Parish (Charleston Co.).  Gabriel and Rebecca's children:
	James Henry Jackson, b. 1847, St. James Santee Parish, m. abt. 1874,
Lucinda A. Fort, d/o Benjamin Francis Fort and Elizabeth Haselton/Haselden,
d. 12/2/1896, Chrsit CHurch Parish.  6 children.
	Julia Frances Jackson, b. 10/17/1849, St. James Santee Parish, m. T. O.
Byrd bef 1878, d. 1/26/1892 Christ CHurch Parish.  No Issue.
	Anna Lucinda Jackson, b. 4/26/1856, St. James Santee P., m. 1878 George
Washington Wilson, s/o Isaac N. Wilson and Julia Elizabeth Jackson, d.
11/4/1897.  They lived for some time in Florence, SC.  5 children
	Louisa Jackson, b. abt 1860, St. James Santee, d. bef 1878.
	Sarah Elizabeth, "Sally", b. 1863, St. James Santee, m. Edward Platt.
Lived in GA.  No more information.
	Laura Rebecaa, b. 1865, St. James Santee.  Living in 1898.  No more
information.  Children of Gabriel and Laura M. Meeks:
	William Gabriel Jackson, b. 12/1879, Christ Church P., m. Effie Browder
bef. 1907.  Lighthouse keeper in Georgetown, SC in 1920, d. ?  3 children.
	Alice E. Jackson, b. abt. 1887, Christ Church Parish, m. bef. 1910,
DeVaun/DeVeaux.  Reported to have drowned bef. 1920.
	George Boyd Jackson, b. 7/8/1889, Christ Church P., m. 11/15/1916, Laura
Pauline Thames, d/o Jacob Allen Thames and Laura E. Brunson, d. 7/4/1948,
Tybee Island, GA where he was a lighthouse keeper.  5 children.
