I am researching a Jackson family of South Carolina. Clement Jackson
(1809-1882) married Hannah Gaunt (1812-1883). Clement's mother was named Sarah
and apparently remarried an Israel Gant (a relative of Clement's wife, Hannah)
because her will was filed as "Sarah Gant". Clement is the only Jackson in the
will. One source has her maiden name as Howard.

Clement and Hannah's children included: Sarah Ann, Henry Middleton, Andrew
Butler, Louisa, James M., Daniel, Israel Pickens, Eliza, and Sarah Jane. I am
descended from Daniel Jackson who married Mary Susan Freeman. Clement was
settled in Aiken County when it came into existence. He and Hannah (and
several others in the family) are buried at Windsor Baptist Church in Windsor,
Aiken County, SC.

I'm anxious to talk with anyone with info on this family.
