I just recently found a marriage between my SHOKES line and
ISSEAR. I haven't a clue as to the origin of this name...
thought I'd ask online before starting my search. (wanted to
get lucky and find someone with ALL the answers!)

family search has an Augustus ISEAR married in 1890 in
Richmond, Ga.
ancestry.com shows 15 social security records for ISEAR and,
i think,
about 7 current phone listings for ISEAR.  it is an unusual
sounding
name.  do you have any origin information on that surname?
