Irish Immigration/Naturalization - Jbmoser

If an Irish immigrant arrived through the port of Charleston say - during the
second half of the 1850's, does anyone know what ships may have arrived
during that time period - probably from Dublin. Also, I've been told that as
far as Naturalization, most immigrants declared their intent where ever it
was they landed - so if it was Charelston - where would the
intent/naturalization records be kept. The immigrant did not remain in
Charleston long, if any time at all.
