SCMAR, Vol. VIII, Summer 1980, No. 3, p.182
          HOLSOMBACK-HOLSENBACK-PRUITT-PREWITT. Mrs. J.W. Meador (Box

needs info on Abraham Holsomback (Holsenback) (b) ca. 1813
(where?). Was he one of the Edgefield
County, S.C. Holsombacks? He married Polly Pruitt (probably
daug. of David and Charlotte Pruitt). The
family lived in Van Buren Co., Ark. in the 1840 & 1850 Census.
Abraham and two of his sons were killed in
1866 by bushwackers in Van Buren Co., Ark. After his death the
family moved to Johnson Co., Tx. Will
          greatly exchange info.
