I am trying to establish when the Thomas Hawthorn left Abbeville County, SC
and migrated to MS. (There were more than one Thomas Hawthorn (or HATHORN) in
the area during the 1830, 1840, 1850 census.)  This Thomas was the son of
David Hazlep Hathorn and Mary Ann Cowan and I don't know is Thomas was living
with them, or on his on, during the 1830 census. - David Hazlep Hathorn died
in 1832)

The follow information is know:

1.  He married a Polly Richey.

2.  Polly could have been living with her step parents Joseph and Eliz.
"Betsey" 
     Lyons prior to her marriage to Thomas or she could have been living with
her 
     Uncle John WIER. (Both lived in Abbeville County, SC)

3.  Polly would have been 17-18 during the 1830 census and I don't know if she
had 
     married at that time.  (I know that she was married when a will was
probated in 
     1831)

4.   I know that their fist son, Harvey Hawthorn, was born 9/15/1832. 

Note the different spellings of the name Hawthorn - this is the way the people
mentioned spelled it.
