Surname: Salter

Am looking for Salters who are decendants of the Gullah people along the
Sea Island coast of Georgia, Florida and Carolinas. Am interested in ancestors
born around 1860's and 1870's. Am a descendant of Alfred Salter born around
this time. Left his home under distress and was never heard from again.
Possibly had several brothers.
