Does anyone know if there is a published census record for SC around 1810 
that might contain the names of guardians or other people living in the 
family who do not have the same surname?  Since I can't find my MORTONs in a 
census record, perhaps they are guardians of another family.  How would I go 
about finding this information.  These children were born between 1800-1810 
in NC and are in TN by 1817, so they would not be listed in the 1820 census.  
Some of the NC families moved on to SC and perhaps ours did that before the 
children moved to TN.  I'd really like to pin them down, but can't seem to 
find any avenue open.  Ha.  Thanks so much.  Nina
