This is the Grimball information that I have.  Hope it helps someone in
their search.  If you see mistakes let me know and I would love any
additional info and corrections.  This is copied from the Grimball
family bible at the Chas. Historical Society.  Don't have much
information on John Berkeley Grimball only that sometime further back
all the Grimballs came from one line.

1st Paul son of Joshua Grimball was born on Edisto Island in Oct. 1766
He married June 1787 Sarah who was the daughter of Wm. Chaplin.  She was
born on St. Helena Isld May 1766.  Their issue were Paul Chaplin, Wm. &
Isaac.  Paul son of Joshua died in 18__(blacked out) Sarah his wife died
in NOv. 1822
2nd Paul Chaplin was born on St. Helena March 17, 1788.  He marrid the
widow Hanscome, born Elizabeth Jenkins in 1814.  Their issue Eliza Ann
born on Johns Island Feb. 27, 1815.  Died Oct. 3, 1886, Benjamin Jenkins
born in Charleston May 3, 1820 Died July 27, 1838.  Isaac Paul born
Johns Island March 7, 1822 Died May 10, 1898. (Connects to my line much
more on them) Thomas Hanscome born in Chalrston July 2, 1824 died 1864

William son of Paul son of Joshua died young Isaac his brother married a
