If anyone wonders what Griffith of Madison Co., Ga. has to do with Roots
SC...my ancestor line which is from Abbeville SC intermarried heavily with
the Griffith line..and I had all of this info that might have helped someone
else..a great many of the Abbeville immigration went on to Mad. Co. They all
were part of a Scot. group immigrating via PA, VA and NC ..they got held up
in Abbeville due to Indian Raids..they set a crop and stayed a year..some
remained..my ancestor did..but some went on to Ga. There..Jan
