I am told that Greenville Co. library has excellent genealogical information.
I have not been there personally but the reference librarian at my county
library used to work at Greenville Co. Library and says they have great
sources. They are online.

Also, you might want to visit the library at Furman Univeristy. Besides the
fact that it has a campus worth looking at and would be a nice place for a
picnic lunch (fountains, beautiful vistas, lake, island with a bell tower,
ducks, etc.), they have lots of SC holdings plus some Baptist records &
history for SC & the southeast. I'm sure they are online also.
