Hi List,

The below site was posted on another list that I'm on. I'm forwarding it to
several lists, so if you get duplicate postings, please forgive the
inconvenience.

There are many, many surnames, maps, narratives, pictures (which can be
enlarged & printed)

In searching I didn't narrow down or limit the search fields:

Typed in:

(whatever state you are researching) Examples below:

plantations north carolina

early settlers north carolina

slave owners north carolina

slaves named in wills north carolina

prisoners civil war north carolina

quakers

I didn't have a lot of luck doing a basic surname search - but many, many
surnames are listed in articles:

Small portion of article: example of surnames:

Mrs. Lula BOWERS narrative:

There was a young man come up from Savannah. He was a great dancer. He danced
all the dances. Then my son-in-law danced all the dances. Dixie Box, Jimmy
Box, Lillie Box, Nanny Box, and Frank Warren were the biggest dancers around
Estill. May Lawton was a great dancer - and Anna Sloane.
